I want to do my hair for my prom. It would be better if the location is near my house in Jackson Heights.
thanks!What/where are the good and less expensive hair salons in Queens, NYC?
- Hair Pro Charming Queens Hair Straightening Salon Stylist Hair Cut, 63-30 Roosevelt Avenue, Woodside, NY, United States
- New York Hair Salon, I don't know where
- Sam's Hair Salon, 3716 73RD St, Jackson Heights, NY, United States
Sorry I don't like in the USA so I have no idea about the prices but I'd say Sam's Hair Salon and New York Hair Salon are cheaper than the first one because from the look of the website I think the first one is a fairly large franchise.What/where are the good and less expensive hair salons in Queens, NYC?

Do professional hair salons do exotic colors like hot pink?
Im dying my hair a lighter blonde than it is now and adding hot pink streaks but I dont know if hair salons do colors like pink?Do professional hair salons do exotic colors like hot pink?
Yes, most of the places I've been will do it. Make sure you ask when you book your appointment, or call ahead if you're a walk in customer.Do professional hair salons do exotic colors like hot pink?
about three years ago I dyed my hair teal, I had to buy the dye (from hot topic) but I just took it to the salon and they bleached it and applied it for me.
Most any professionals would. A chain professional hair salon (like Mia Maxx maybe?) However, a privately owned hair salon probably wouldn't have as many exotic colors.
it should do...most salons have colour charts of loads of dif colours...ask in ur local one!
just ask they may do them
they should.

When do I tip for hair salons?
I haven't gone to a hair salon for a long time. Do I pay the tip as soon as the person who cuts my hair is finished, or do i just add it into the cost of the haircut? Or is there some kind of jar to put it in? Any help is appreciated, thanks! When do I tip for hair salons?
15 to 20% is more than fine. Hairdressers make A LOT more than a waitresses regular rate of like $3/hr.
When she or he takes your money at the register, you hand them the tip and say this is for you. If someone else checks you out, you can give them the tip and say ';please give this to my stylist.';When do I tip for hair salons?
You can either hand it straight to them. or leave it at the desk. Either is acceptable.
Oh, and your stylist is more knowledgeable and talented than a restaurant waiter right? So tip more than the 15 percent you're used to tipping at dinner.
You add it when they are all done!
when they are fishin withyour hair then you could tip them if you want to

What is an easy way for managing the amount of products sold and money made? (For hair salons)?
Do you know what I mean. Like you put the stuff on disply, but is there an easy way of managing what is being sold, made etc. What is an easy way for managing the amount of products sold and money made? (For hair salons)?
Sure. Make a chart of products, and mark off what is sold, as it's purchased by each customer. Put the chart in a notebook or on a clipboard and have it near the register. You can also do a chart for money received for services, or just mark it down in a little planner book. You know, the kind of planner that has appointment listings pre-printed in there. Each week, add it all up, and you'll already know what you need to get from the beauty supply house, to replace the items purchased the previous week.
